Remember the Samsung Illusion? This Verizon-bound Gingerbread device leaked out a couple of times back in September but has been conspicuously absent ever since. Well today the Illusion's back, and it's brought a couple of its Verizon buddies along with it. The folks at Engadget recently posted a portion of a Verizon's new rebate form for November 1st through the 28th and not only is the Samsung Illusion on there with a $50 rebate, so is the BlackBerry Curve 9370 and Casio G'zOne Ravine 2, both of which are also sporting $50 rebates. There's no release date listed for any of the aforementioned handsets, but the fact that they've appeared on this November rebate sheet suggests that they could very well see a launch sometime this month.
For those of you that answered the earlier question with a, "No sir, I haven't the slightest idea which smartphone you're referring to," the Illusion is an Android 2.3 handset handset with the model number SCH-i110, which suggests that it's an entry-level type of device. Meanwhile, the Curve 9370 is an entry-level BlackBerry and the Gz'One Ravine 2 is the successor to this ruggedized feature phone. Obviously none of these devices are going to satisfy your high-end handset itch, but for customers interested in wallet-friendly smartphones or a phone that'll take a licking and keep on ticking, they could be worth keeping an eye out for.
