Last week we saw the HTC Inspire 4G finally get its Gingerbread update, and afterward we were left wondering which AT&T Android phone would be next in line for an update to 2.3. It seems we may have finally gotten our answer, as AT&T has revealed on its official Twitter account that the Samsung Infuse 4G will be bumped up to Gingerbread this month. An exact date wasn't mentioned, but there are only 18 days left in August so you Infuse owners don't have long to wait.

It's good to see AT&T sticking to its plans to update each post-paid Android phone released in 2011 to Gingerbread, especially since the more high-end handsets seem to be getting updated first. We'll be sure to let you all know when the Infuse 4G gets its Gingerbread update, but you could always start hammering your Update button right now. It'll help pass the time and, who knows, you could get lucky and be one of the first to get a taste of (official) Gingerbread on the Infuse.
