Last week Verizon declared that the Motorola DROID X2 Gingerbread update was rolling out to users in the wild, but no DX2 owners were actually able to get the update on their handsets. It looks like the update is finally available today, though, as reports have been flowing from DROID X2 users that have successfully pulled down and installed the new software. If you're a DX2 owner that'd like to be a part of the Android 2.3 club, just head into your Settings menu, then click About phone, and then hit up System updates.
The DROID X2's Gingerbread update may be coming a few days later than Verizon said it would be, but hey, all that matters now is that another big handset has been bumped up to Android 2.3. You can find the full list of improvements and enhancements included in the update right here. As usual, we'd love to hear the first impressions of the update from you DX2 owners that get Gingerbread up and running. We've been told that we're great listeners.
