Ready for a well-balanced breakfast of the Motorola DROID Bionic and some possible release date details to kick off your Wednesday morning? The image you see above was passed along to the folks at Droid-Life and, although it's a little on the dark side, it does give us another peek at the redesigned Bionic form factor. According to the source of the photo, the Bionic has the same type of display as the DROID X2 and DROID 3, but the Bionic's screen shows quite a bit less ghosting. Overall, the new Bionic is said to be lighter and more responsive than expected.
So when might the revamped DROID Bionic hit store shelves and your pocket? A separate Droid-Life source claims that Motorola reps are telling Verizon employees to expect it in "early September." That lines up with reports from other tipsters claiming that September 1st could be the day as well as a recently-leaked Sam's Club document, so that's another date to add to the list.
Last we heard, the Bionic was rumored to be landing on August 4th and, while that date is certainly still in play, it's getting less and less likely as the days go by. Verizon has been known to wait just days until a handset's launch before making said device official, but with all of the leaks pointing toward September that have come out as of late, an early August launch is getting tougher to swallow. As always, though, nothing's official until it's official. Stay tuned.
