Throw on your rumor caps, people, because it's time for another round of "Unannounced Android Phone Gossip." Today's report comes courtesy of the folks at Droid-Life, who are claiming that Motorola is hard at work on a "flagship" device currently codenamed Dinara that may end up at the top of your wish list this holiday season.
Details on the Dinara are still light, but so far it's rumored to be packing an "HD" display that's larger than the DROID Bionic's 4.3-incher, Texas Instruments processor, 13-megapixel camera, VGA front-facer, 1GB RAM, a non-removable battery, lock button the right side, and a body that is "identical" to the Bionic but will be both thinner and lighter than the DB. It's said to currently be packing Gingerbread, but it's not clear if it'll come to market with that version of Android or if it'll be bumped up to Ice Cream Sandwich in time for launch. The Dinara is reportedly currently being tested on Verizon, although Droid-Life notes that it could eventually land on multiple carriers. Finally, it's said that the Dinara is slated to launch sometime this winter.
So there you have it. It's tough to really say much about the Dinara right now since we're missing key specs like processor clock rate and exact screen size, and also because a lot could change between now and the device's scheduled release in the winter. Still, the fact that it's being described as a "flagship" handset suggests that it'll come packing some high-end goodies. You know we'll be bringing you more as we get it, so keep it locked to PhoneDog.
