Verizon expanding its 4G LTE coverage to 28 new markets on Thursday

Verizon 4G LTE

Last month saw Verizon announce a slew of new 4G LTE markets going live on July 21st, but it turns out that Big Red isn't done doling out the high-speed wireless data love quite yet. Today the carrier detailed a few more areas that'll begin seeing LTE connectivity this Thursday, which are as follows:

Colorado Springs, Colo., including the areas south of Monument to just north of Fountain and east to Powers Boulevard and west to Manitou Springs
Lakeland, Fla., including Downtown Lakeland, Bartow, Mulberry, Highland City, Crystal Lake, Gibsonia, and Winston
Sarasota-Bradenton, Fla., including City of Sarasota, Bradenton, Ellenton, Osprey, Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island, Bradenton Beach, Palmetto, Bay Shore Gardens, DeSoto Lakes, Bee Ridge, and Gulf Gate Estates
Oahu, Hawaii, including Aiea, Ewa Beach, Haleiwa, Hawaii Kai, Honolulu, Kailua, Kaneohe, Kapolei, Mililani, Pearl City, Waialua, Waikiki, Waipahu, and Waipio
Ogden, Utah, covering the areas from 12th Street in the north to South Ogden 40th Street in the south and Harrison Boulevard in the east to I-15 in the west
Chattanooga, Tenn., including Bakewell, Birchwood, Collegedale, Dayton, East Ridge, Ft Oglethorpe, Georgetown, Harrison, Hixson, Lakeview, Lookout Mountain, Lupton City, Midway, Ooltewah, Red Bank, Ringgold, Rossville, Sale Creek, Shepherd and Soddy Daisy
Knoxville, Tenn., including Athens, Etowah, Greenway, Huntsville, Jefferson City, Lenoir City, Louden, Marbledale, Maryville, Morristown, Niota, Oak Ridge, Oakland, Pigeon Forge, Pleasant View, Powell, Rockford, Sevierville, Sweetwater, Talbot and White Pine

The addition of these new markets, as well as all of the others going live on the 21st, will push Verizon's 4G network over the 100-market milestone, bringing it to 102 LTE-enabled areas across the U.S. If you happen to own a Verizon 4G device and live in one of the new cities, you could probably begin checking for an LTE signal right now; Big Red has been known to flip the 4G switch a tad early in the past.
