Google recently introduced a new version of the Android Market for phones that brought with it the ability the buy books and rent movies, but the appearance of some files buried deep within the new Market's resources may have outed Google's plans to introduce its music market sometime soon as well. The folks at Android and Me have spotted a few shopping bag graphics inside the Market's files that are not only the same orange that's found on the Google Music site, but also contain the word "music" in the file name.
So does this news mean you'll soon be able to grab some tunes on your Android device? Perhaps. I'm sure the feature is something that El Goog would like to implement as soon as possible, but before it can it needs to make agreements with the record labels and publishers. Whether they already have made deals or think they will soon remains to be seen, but it looks like they'll be ready to add the ability to buy music in the Android Market as soon as those agreements are in place.
