And so the pre-release life of the LG Optimus Slider continues. After originally appearing on a leaked Sprint inventory sheet as the LG Gelato Q LS700, today the first official render of the Android-powered smartphone has made its way onto the web. Besides the appearance of what looks to be a physical camera key on the lower right side, there's not a lot of information about the Optimus Slider to be gleaned from the image. I suppose getting a peek at the Slider's keyboard will have to wait for another day.
Details are still light on the Optimus Slider, although a version of the device with the model number VS700 recently passed through the FCC, suggesting that Verizon will be getting its own model of the QWERTY-toting smartphone. Considering that, as well as the fact that LG previously released a version of the Optimus One on each of the big four carriers, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Slider land on AT&T and T-Mobile's shelves as well. The Optimus Slider is currently rumored to be launching on September 11th, so expect more info to be revealed as we march closer to that date.
