As if we needed any more evidence that the Verizon's launch of the Motorola DROID 3 is right around the corner, the image above has been posted on Twitter showing that dummy DROID 3 units have begun making their way into stores. It may not be a working model, but hey, at least we're one step closer to seeing the D3 in the flesh.
For those that would like a refresher, the DROID 3 will be packing a 4-inch 540x960 qHD display, dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and 1080p video capture, a front-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage, GSM capabilities for use overseas, and Android 2.3 when it arrives later this month. We're still waiting on official availability info from Verizon, but an announcement should be coming along later today or tomorrow.
