Right on schedule, the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab on Sprint has been updated to Android 2.3. The update includes Gingerbread (obviously) as well as fixes for VPN and support for Bluetooth HID. If you'd like to try and pull down the update yourself, go ahead and dive into the "Update Android" portion of your "System Updates" menu. Sprint has said that the update, which is build number EF17, should be rolled out over the air to all Galaxy Tabs in the next four days.
It's kind of a bummer that the OG Galaxy Tab is not being updated to Honeycomb instead of Gingerbread, but I'm sure many Tab owners are happy to see any kind of major update, especially now that waves of Android 3.0 tablets are hitting the market. Sprint Tab owners, be sure to come back when you get Gingerbread up and running and let us know how your latest tasty treat is working out!
