Feel the need to gobble up every bit of Motorola DROID 3 news in preparation of the device's rumored July launch? Then you'll definitely want to sink your teeth into this latest batch of details. Chinese site XDA.cn recently got its paws on the Motorola Milestone 3, which is the non-U.S. version of the DROID 3, and not only put the handset through its paces but also posted a handful of photos of the device. The site has confirmed most of the Milestone/DROID 3's specs, which include a 4-inch 540x960 qHD PenTile display, dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video capture, VGA front-facing shooter, 512MB RAM, HDMI out, and a 1500mAh battery. Also present is a new version of MotoBlur Motorola's custom Android skin. So what did XDA.cn think of the Milestone 3? According to a Google translation, the site says that the device can't stack up to the likes of a Samsung Galaxy S II or HTC Sensation, with the 512MB of RAM and PenTile display named as the two biggest flaws.
As exciting as it is to get such an in-depth look at the DROID 3, it's kind of a bummer that the handset is catching flak for its RAM and the quality of its display. Still, the hardware looks pretty nice and, considering how few QWERTY-packin' Android phones that Verizon offers, the D3 should do alright for itself. After poring over all of the photos and specs posted here and at the source link, has your opinion on the DROID 3 changed?
