Hot on the heels of the news that the Motorola DROID 3 has made its way into Verizon's system, it seems that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has joined the D3 and reappeared in Big Red's computers. If you'll remember, a 4G tablet going by the name SCH-I905 actually showed up in Verizon's systems earlier this month, but back then it wasn't confirmed exactly which device the I905 would turn out to be. Now we know that it is indeed the Tab 10.1 and the listing still shows that the slate will feature 4G LTE connectivity and will be available in 16 and 32GB flavors in either black or white. What it doesn't show, unfortunately, is any kind of launch info.
Earlier today, J.K. Shin, head of Samsung's mobile division, confirmed that his company would be launching an LTE tablet sometime later this year and, although he didn't elaborate on the device any further, it seems likely that he was referring to this very device. So now the question for those of you in the market for a new Android tablet is this: would you rather pick up the WiFi-only Tab 10.1 when it comes early next month or wait for the Verizon 4G LTE model?
