It's been a while since the BlackBerry Torch 2 showed its BlackBerry 7-powered face, but today a couple of images of the slider from RIM have appeared online courtesy of our good pal Mr. Blurrycam. There's nothing new revealed about the Torch 2 in the photos, but we're never ones to turn away images of an unannounced smartphone, especially one of the beefed up 'Berrys. For those that need a refresher, the Torch 2's reportedly packing a 3.2-inch 480x640 touchscreen, 1.2GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera with flash, 768MB RAM, 8GB of built-in storage, 1300mAh battery, NFC, 14.4Mbps HSPA, and the BlackBerry 7 OS.
Although there's been no hard evidence indicating when the Torch 2 is going to launch, we've heard some whispers that it could land on AT&T's shelves sometime in July. Obviously that could change, but by the time July rolls around the original Torch will be just a hair under a year old, which would give RIM and AT&T a good opportunity to introduce that handset's successor. What do you all think of the Torch 2? Is it a suitable follow-up to the first model?
