Following up on a leak from just a few days ago, today U.S. Cellular announced the HTC Merge for its network. The Merge will be officially available from U.S Cellular on May 31st for $149.99 with a two-year contract and mail-in rebate. If you just can't wait a whole five days to get a Merge of your very own, though, a screenshot leaked to Engadget has revealed that stores have been given the go-ahead to start selling the Merge as soon as their stock of the device arrives.
Although the Merge isn't exactly the freshest Android device at this point, $150 on-contract seems like a pretty respectable price for a 3.8-inch smartphone with global capabilities and a sliding physical QWERTY keyboard. So, anyone going to head into a U.S. Cellular store to try and snap up a Merge?
