Ever since the HTC Arrive launched on Sprint, Verizon has been the only carrier of the big four without any Windows Phone 7 device in its lineup. We know that the HTC Trophy is coming to Big Red eventually, though, and today we've got more evidence that its launch could be right around the corner. First up we've got Exhibit A, a tweet claiming that Verizon employees began training for WP7 this weekend. Normally we wouldn't put a ton of stock in a random tweet but, when it's paired the second bit of evidence, the claim does gain a bit of credibility. Exhibit B, which can be seen below, shows the HTC Trophy making an appearance in Verizon's online smartphone guide, complete with Big Red branding.
So the HTC Trophy looks like it's finally, really about to launch. When exactly that'll happen is still very much in the air, but the folks at WPCentral have heard that the Trophy could very well be arriving on Thursday, May 12th. There's no hard evidence to support that date, but the way things are coming together, a launch sometime in the next couple of weeks certainly wouldn't surprise me.
UPDATE: Both the BlackBerry PlayBook and Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY are listed as "Coming Soon" in the same online guide. Could those two devices be launching in the near future, as well? We can only hope.
