The Samsung DROID Charge certainly looks like it's getting close, but if you needed more evidence that it could be launching sometime in the next week or two, we're happy to oblige. First up, the folks at Droid-Life have learned that employee training for the Charge is kicked off today, and the preparation has revealed an interesting tidbit about the device's mobile hotspot capabilities. When Sammy's DROID ends up launching, it's rumored that it'll be able to support up to 10 devices at once with its hotspot powers.
So just how much will you be paying for the DROID Charge so that you can tether 10 devices to Big Red's LTE network? Previous leaks have shown that the Charge has a minimum advertised price of nearly $300 with a two-year contract, and now an alleged Walmart price tag has corroborated that info. As you can see below, Wally World may be planning to price the Charge at $298.88, as long as you promise to sign away two years of your wireless life.
When Verizon announced that it'd be pricing the ThunderBolt at $249.99 with a two-year contract, some folks were a little put off by the slightly-higher-than-normal price tag. Even though the DROID Charge does sport a Super AMOLED Plus display and a mobile hotspot with support for up to 10 other devices, I'm a little concerned that its $300 on-contract price — if it is indeed legit — could scare off more than a few customers. By the look of things, the Charge will be coming out sooner rather than later, so we should be hearing something official on the handset soon. What do you all think of the Charge's potential pricing?
