First T-Mobile and AT&T began offering the option to bill Android Market purchases to a customer's monthly bill, and now Sprint is joining in on the fun, too. Google announced today on the Android Developers Blog that Sprint customers can now buy apps in the Market and apply the charge to their monthly bill rather than use a credit card. If you're a Sprint subscriber and don't have the option just yet, don't fret; Sprint says that the feature will be rolled out to all users within the next few days.
Considering that not everyone is comfortable with giving out their credit card info, it's great to see Google continuing to team up with carriers to offer the option of carrier billing to Android users. With today's news, Verizon is now the only one of the big four carriers without a carrier billing option. However, Google says that it's "continuing to partner with more carriers around the world to offer carrier billing options to their subscribers," so that may change at some point in the future.
