Earlier this month, we saw a leaked document claim that the Nexus S 4G would be hitting Sprint on April 18th. There were a few other already-announced smartphones on the doc, as well as a device called the "Samsung Replenish" that most everyone thought would just be a simple feature phone. However, it turns out that that may not be the case. According to some internal Sprint pages sent over to Android Central, the Replenish is actually a "green" Android phone. There's not much more information about the handset available yet, but it's possible that the Replenish is the Samsung-made portrait QWERTY Android phone that we've seen leak twice now. Luckily we won't have to wait long to hear more, as the internal docs point out that an official press release should be issued on April 15th, with the actual device possibly going on sale as soon as May 5th.
We'll have to reserve judgment on Samsung's portrait QWERTY phone until we learn more about it, but it's good to see Sprint offering a device in the same vein as the DROID Pro on Verizon or Charm on T-Mobile. If it is indeed the "green" Replenish, it could make Sammy's offering stand out even more. What do you all think of an environmentally-friendly Android phone? Is it something you'd be interested in?
