Last month, we learned that the Motorola XOOM wouldn't launch with the capability to access Flash content, even though that's one of the major selling points of the device. It appears that the feature is finally about to make it to the XOOM, though, as Moto just tweeted that an update will begin rolling out tonight that'll prep it to support Flash Player 10.2. However, there's still no word on exactly when Flash will actually arrive. It's also worth noting that anyone that's sporting an unlocked or rooted XOOM will have to restore it back to stock software before installing the update. Moto will be posting everything you need for the relock/reflash over on their dev site, which you can find right here.
Many of us were pretty disappointed when it was revealed that the XOOM wouldn't pack Flash capabilities out of the box, but it's good to see Motorola working to bring the feature to the device and making it easy for owners to get ready for the update to hit. XOOM owners, be sure to let us know when you get the update and share how everything goes down in the comments, alright?
