It's not often that you hear a company exec refer to one of its own products as "inadequate," but that's exactly what just happened to Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1. After Apple's iPad 2 event the other day, Samsung executive VP Lee Don-Joo plans to take the Tab 10.1 and "improve the parts that are inadequate." He doesn't say exactly what those parts are, but he does say point out that Apple made the new iPad "very thin" and that the Tab 10.1's pricing will possibly get reworked, as it was originally slated to cost more than the 7-inch Galaxy Tab.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 has some pretty decent specs, but that may not be enough to entice some consumers to pick one up, even if they do end up improving some of its parts. If they can get really aggressive with the price, they may have a better chance at success, but we'll have to wait and see exactly what they end up changing about the Tab 10.1 before making any judgments about it.
