XOOM day is here, folks, and today we've got news that may make picking up Motorola's new tablet even more difficult to resist. Originally, we had heard that Verizon would require all XOOM buyers to sign up for at least one month of data, even if the tablet was purchased off-contract. Thankfully, Big Red seems to have had a change of heart, removing the one-month data requirement for all unsubsidized XOOM purchases. Best Buy has also nixed the data plan requirement.
This news, combined with the fact that the XOOM sports an unlockable bootloader, is likely to make Moto's tablet a pretty tempting purchase for some. Was it all enough to convince any of you to pull the trigger on a XOOM today? What do you think of the first Honeycomb tablet so far?
