Last month, we told you that the Samsung Intercept on Virgin Mobile would be updated to Android 2.2 this spring, a little later than its Sprint counterpart. Obviously "sometime this spring" isn't the most precise date ever, so today VM finally gave us a date to circle on our calendars. As you can see above, the Intercept on Virgin Mobile will be bumped up to Froyo "about 3/25."

While it's kind of a bummer that Virgin Mobile's Intercept is getting updated a few months after the Sprint model did, what matters is that it's even getting an update at all. Hopefully things go a little smoother for VM than they did for Sprint, who saw some Intercepts become bricked after installing the 2.2 update. We'll be sure to let you know when the upgrade is pushed out, so stay tuned!
