We've seen several leaks and rumors surrounding the Motorola XOOM's price over the past month or so, but today all of that speculation can finally come to an end. Speaking with Reuters, Moto CEO Sanjay Jha confirmed that the XOOM will cost $799 unsubsidized from Verizon, while a WiFi-only model will be priced slightly lower at $600.
While the XOOM's $800 price tag may shock some, it's important to note that that's only $70 more than Apple's 32GB 3G iPad, which isn't upgradeable to 4G like the XOOM will be. Then again, we don't know if Apple will price the upcoming iPad 2 the same as the current model or if it'll become cheaper to be more competitive. One thing that's for sure: I'm glad that we won't have to fork over $1200 for the XOOM. What do you all think of the pricing for Moto's tablet?
