We're inching closer and closer to the Motorola XOOM's "end of February" launch on Verizon, but today two new iterations of the tablet have come along to tempt you. First up, we have what is believed to be a WiFi-only model of the XOOM. The device just passed through the FCC and, while there's zero indication as to its price or release date, it's probably safe to assume that it'll arrive with a price tag slightly lower than Big Red's $800 version.
XOOMing right along (get it?), a new silver version of Moto's tablet has been spotted in the wilds of Dubai. The two-tone device sports a black front and back that's mostly silver, although there is a portion of the rear that's black, too. No one is quite sure when, or even if, we'll see the silverback XOOM arrive stateside, but one can certainly hope. Check out a video of the device below.
While I'm sure that there are plenty of users that will be willing to plunk down the cash for a Verizon-branded XOOM later this month, I'd be willing to bet that even more people would be interested in a WiFi-only version of the Honeycomb tablet. A reduced price tag is always nice, but it would be especially helpful in this situation considering that the VZW model looks like it'll end up being priced at $800. What do you all think? Would you be more interested in picking up a XOOM if you could get a cheaper, WiFi-only model?
