There have been some rumors flying lately surrounding Verizon's upcoming DROID devices like the Incredible 2 and DROID 3, and now more speculation has bubbled to the surface. According to some "trusted tipsters" speaking with Phandroid, the DROID Incredible 2 currently sports the codename "Vevo" and will launch with a white back, "white chrome rim," and a Qualcomm chip that supports both HSPA and CDMA connectivity. Next up is the DROID 3, which will allegedly be upgraded to a 4-inch qHD (960x540) display and will be launching some time in Q2. Finally, the site claims that the Samsung 4G LTE has finally been given a real name: Samsung Stealth. If you recall, this name popped up in a DLNA certification toward the end of November last year, and the specs mentioned in that filing just so happen to match up to the ones on the 4G LTE.
HTC's DROID Incredible was one of the most well-received Android phones to date, which is at least partially thanks to its high-end specs that make it a solid device to this day. Given all of this, it's not surprising that HTC has a new version in the works. A device with a silver rim and white back sounds like something that may not appeal to everyone, though, which I'm sure Big Red wants to do. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if Verizon offered a different version of the DInc 2 in plain ol' black (sort of like the device pictured above), maybe without the global 3G connectivity. As for the DROID 3 rumors, the upgrade to a qHD display seems like a no-brainer, and I wouldn't be shocked if Moto bumped up the screen size while they were at it. Now that some more potential info on these new DROIDs has leaked out, which sounds more appealing to you?
