Remember that whole "Antennagate" debacle that plagued the iPhone 4's launch last year? A new report has come out that claims that Apple didn't bother to fix the problem in the new Verizon iPhone, meaning that it, too, suffers from signal loss when given a "death grip." The problems don't end there, though, as the device's WiFi connection allegedly weakens when given the death grip in the landscape orientation. A video has been shot that shows the VeriPhone suffering from Antennagate version 2.0, and it's embedded down below.

While it seems like Verizon's iPhone could suffer from some signal difficulties when given the death grip, I doubt that any user is going to hold the device that way unless they're specifically trying to recreate the issue. It's also important to note that the majority of early reviews didn't notice any sort of attenuation problems, and there hasn't been any commotion from customers that got their handsets early, either. Some speculate that this signal loss could be an isolated issue which mainly occurs in weaker signal areas. Have any of you new Verizon iPhone owners experienced signal loss due to a death grip?
