The PlayStation Phone, which could very well be known as the XPERIA Play when it hits the market, isn't quite official yet and likely won't be until some time next month at the earliest. That hasn't stopped Taiwanese site ePrice from getting its hands on a PS Phone and giving it an early once-over. Some of the device's specs listed in the review include a 4-inch 854x480 display, 1GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, dual speakers, and Gingerbread. There's also a 1500 mAh battery onboard, which should hopefully provide enough juice for you to make a phone call or two after a gaming marathon. There's a couple of short hardware tours embedded for your viewing pleasure down below, and plenty more photos at the source link.
After starring in a multitude of leaks, it seems that we know just about everything there is to know about the PlayStation Phone except for one thing: the games. We don't know if it'll be running PSOne games, PSP games, games made specifically for it, or what. The device was spotted playing Resident Evil 2 and Ridge Racer not too long ago, but those were loaded up through ROM Buddy, so it's not clear if those types of games will be officially supported on the PS Phone or not. The existence of the PlayStation Pocket app seems like an indication that either PSOne or PSP games will be playable, but we still don't know for sure. Luckily for us, Mobile World Congress is coming up fast, so hopefully we won't be left wondering about the PlayStation Phone much longer.
