LG showed off its dual-core Optimus 2X at CES, and the device made quite an impression on Aaron when he spent some hands on time with it. What we didn't get a chance to do, though, is put it through the benchmarking wringer. Thankfully, the folks at Techblog.gr have gone to the trouble of testing the handset out. After completing a Quadrant test, the Optimus 2X nearly doubled the aging Nexus One's score, managing a crazy 2,391 points. To compare, the Optimus 2X bested the DROID Bionic's score of 2,284, but couldn't quite match the Atrix 4G and its total of 2,616. Check out the test for yourself down below.

We've always known that the Optimus 2X is an impressive handset, but this Quadrant benchmark (which isn't even optimized for dual-core hardware) just goes to show that it'll likely be one of the most powerful Android phones on the market when it arrives. Just when that'll be still isn't known for sure, but the current rumor is that it'll land on T-Mobile as soon as March. So everyone, which of the dual-core Tegra 2 phones will/would be earning your hard-earned cash?
