Hot on the heels of Verizon's big event yesterday in New York, Sprint has announced that it'll soon be hosting a shindig of its own. The presentation is slated to kick off at 6 PM EST on February 7th, which is just two days before HP's webOS event and around a week before Mobile World Congress begins. Sprint is promising "yet another industry first" and, strangely enough, magician David Blaine is also going to be on hand.
It's kind of tough to discern exactly what Sprint's big event is going to be focused on, and the fact that they were all but absent at CES certainly doesn't help matters. The EVO Shift 4G is already announced, so we can scratch that off the list. We've already discussed that a Sprint iPhone is unlikely, especially since, you know, Android bloggers are being invited. My best guess is either some sort of new Android offering or the arrival of Windows Phone 7. Whatever it is, we'll be sure to keep you posted up to the event and as things go down on the 7th, so stay tuned. In the mean time, care to take a guess as to what Dan Hesse has in store?
