Just a couple of days ago, we all thought that the Incredible HD/Mecha would come to market as the Thunderbolt 4G thanks to an HTC ad and the URL that it lead to. However, a source speaking to AndroidSPIN claims that the Thunderbolt 4G will end up being known by a totally different name. The internal Verizon tipster, who AndroidSPIN describes as "good," says that the Thunderbolt 4G will actually be called the HTC Mocha whenever it comes to market.
Considering that the HTC URL contained the name "Thunderbolt 4G," I've definitely got my reservations about this rumor. Then again, the URL lead to a broken page, although you could argue that that's simply because HTC hasn't revealed the phone yet. "HTC Thunderbolt 4G" is a bit of a mouthful, especially if they end up throwing the DROID moniker in there, so Mocha could be a little better in that aspect. If you ask me, Mocha sounds more like a code name than anything else. In the end, though, I could care less about what the phone is called. I just want the darn thing to be released. Which name do you all prefer? Incredible HD, Mecha, Thunderbolt 4G, or Mocha?
