So we know that the Windows Phone 7-powered HTC 7 Trophy will be coming to Verizon some time next year, but no one knows exactly when that'll be. A short post over by Paul Thurrott at Windows Phone Secrets has changed that, though, and the potential launch date is quite a bit earlier than most of us imagined. Thurrott has been told that the 7 Trophy will be the first WP7 device on Verizon and that it'll arrive in January, though a specific date wasn't mentioned. Specs for the 7 Trophy include a 1GHz processor, 3.8-inch 800x480 display, 576MB of RAM, 512MB of ROM, 8GB of internal storage, and a 5 megapixel camera capable of HD video capture.
A lot of people figured that we'd be seeing some CDMA Windows Phone 7 devices within the first few months of 2011, but January is even earlier than most expected. If the 7 Trophy does end up coming in January, it could potentially be joining some LTE handsets and the iPhone, making Verizon's early 2011 lineup tough to beat.
