It was just a little over a week ago that actual photos of the Nexus S began popping up, and now another image of the device has turned up. The Nexus S has been appearing in public photostreams on sites like Picasa, where the above image was found posted to an account that has put up photos taken with both "Nexus S" and "GT-i9020" in the EXIF data in the past. It's kind of tough to really get a feel for the Nexus S with the photo above, but you can at least see that the portions of the phone above and below the screen look to be curved. Is the screen curved, too? The jury's still out on that one.
Considering that this photo is from the account of a Google employee, it seems obvious that there are still some Nexus S devices out in the wild for testing. We know that Eric Schmidt has one, and the fact that he whipped his out and gave us all a quick look at the Web 2.0 Summit makes me think that the S is just about ready for launch. What makes that theory even more plausible is that Schmidt said that Gingerbread would be coming in the "next few weeks." Since the Nexus S is running Gingerbread, it stands to reason that both the phone and the OS would arrive at around the same time. I think a Gingerbread treat would be a good way to follow up some Thanksgiving turkey, so here's to hoping that Google feels the same way.
