webOS 2.0 brings several new major features and enhancements to the platforms, and many owners of older, less powerful webOS devices may be worrying that their handset may not get updated to the new iteration of Palm's mobile OS. Luckily, Palm has come to the rescue to put your fears to rest. According to Palm's Josh Marinacci, all webOS devices will be getting upgraded to version 2.0 of the platform "in the coming months." It's possible that some unforeseen problems (carriers, delays) could prevent webOS 2.0 from making it to some devices, things are looking good for now.
Sure, the whole "in the coming months" thing isn't nearly as specific as many of us would like, but it's good to know that Palm/HP wants to keep all webOS users up to date. I wouldn't be surprised to see the update pushed out to the current Pres and Pixis later rather than sooner, just because I feel like Palm/HP wants to tout the new OS together with the new Palm Pre 2, which still isn't on Verizon. So, webOS owners, how excited are you?
