While AT&T and T-Mobile customers are enjoying the new Windows Phone 7 goodness, Sprint and Verizon have exactly zero WP7 devices, and they won't until early next year. When that time comes, though, Verizon says that they'll be excited to offer "Windows 7 mobile devices" phones to their customers. Let's just assume that they're referring to WP7 phones and cut them a little slack. Maybe if we do, we'll get some handsets with Microsoft's new OS even sooner.
I'm still kind of surprised that there won't be any CDMA Windows Phone 7 devices until next year, especially since the No. 1 carrier in the nation runs a CDMA network. Sure, Microsoft probably wanted to get the OS out as soon as possible, but I'm sure that having phones on Verizon and Sprint would've helped out sales quite a bit. If this delay means that we'll see a bunch of devices like the HTC 7 Pro, though, I'm willing to put up with the wait.
