After kicking off the Windows Phone 7 launch with the HTC Surround and the Samsung Focus, today AT&T started offering their third WP7 device to the masses. The QWERTY-fied LG Quantum is now available direct from AT&T for $199.99 with a two-year contract. In exchange for two hundred of your hard-earned dollars, you'll be getting a 3.5-inch scree, 1GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera, 16GB of storage, and, of course, that slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard. You can check out the full press release below.
Now that there are three Windows Phone 7-powered handsets on AT&T, potential customers have a tough choice to make: do you go with the full touch Samsung Focus, the HTC Surround with slide-out speaker, or the only device with a physical keyboard, the LG Quantum? While it's nice that the Quantum has a hardware 'board, there are some wonky aspects of the WP7 OS that don't seem to work smoothly on the device. For instance, when you're using the Quantum in landscape with the QWERTY out, you have to look at the home screen sideways because it doesn't switch to a landscape view. Not a big deal, but it's something to consider.
