Dell may be handing out Venue Pros to all of its employees, but what about us non-Dell folk? Neither T-Mobile nor Dell has given us solid release info on the Venue Pro, but that's where our friends from TmoNews come in. An image from T-Mobile's internal systems has arrived on their desk and, as you can see, we now know that the Venue Pro will be launched by Microsoft, likely in their retail stores and website, on November 8th. If you'd rather get your handset directly from the manufacturer, Dell will begin offering the VP on their own website starting a week later, on November 15th.
The Venue Pro is one of the most interesting devices we've seen recently, even when it comes to phones not running Windows Phone 7. A portrait slider is nothing new, but it's not often you see one with a 4.1-inch AMOLED display. What's strange is that the Venue Pro won't be sold through T-Mobile stores. Since many customers won't be able to get some hands-on time with the VP, I have to wonder if it'll follow the same fate as the Nexus One and its lackluster sales. Who knows, though? Maybe the combination of a large screen, physical QWERTY, and WP7 will help drive sales. The Venue Pro launches tomorrow, so we certainly don't have wait long to find out.
