When it comes to mobile platforms running on a tablet device, just about everyone is represented: iPad/iOS, Galaxy Tab/Android, PlayBook/BlackBerry, and PalmPad/webOS. Today we can add another name to that list, as a Nokia-made tablet sporting MeeGo has leaked to the world. Currently known as the Z500, the device appeared in Nokia's own Ovi Store when used in place of a valid handset name in the store's URL. There isn't any more information about the Z500 available right now, but Eldar Murtazin has chimed in on the matter, saying that it's "under question" because Nokia isn't content with either the pricing or the features.
Considering that just about every major mobile manufacturer is working on a tablet, it's not surprising that Nokia wants in on the game, too. We haven't actually seen any Nokia devices running MeeGo just yet, so it's tough to tell if the tablet will be any good right now. If the Z500 ends up taking any design cues from the N9, though, it could end up being quite a competitor in the tablet space.
