The Motorola DEFY is hitting T-Mobile in just a few short days, but strangely, we haven't seen it leak nearly as often as its Android brethren. Luckily, the DEFY has decided to give us a treat rather than a trick today, posing for an "in the wild" photo shoot. As you can see, the handset is running full-on MOTOBLUR beneath Android 2.1 and has a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. Other specs for the DEFY include a 3.7-inch 854x480 display, WiFi calling, and a rugged build.
These ruggedized handsets usually eschew looks for a strong build quality, but the DEFY has managed to stay tough and look pretty good while doing it. The fact that it is both handsome and can take a beating, coupled with the 3.7-inch WVGA display, gives the DEFY a good shot at success. It's pretty disappointing that there's no Froyo to be found here, especially considering that we should be seeing Gingerbread arrive any day now, but launching with 2.1 is certainly better than coming to market with Android 1.5 or 1.6 in tow. The DEFY will cost $100 with a two year contract when it launches on November 3rd, which is turning out to be quite a big Android day for T-Mobile. We'll see the DEFY, Optimus T, Comet, and, of course, the myTouch 4G all launch on Wednesday. So, T-Mobile customers, with all of the Android goodness coming your way, who ya got?
