The Dell Venue Pro was one of the first handsets announced when Microsoft unveiled Windows Phone 7, and while many love the form factor and specs of the device, not everyone is ready to make the jump to WP7 just yet. Good news for those users, because Dell is said to be working on a device similar to the Venue Pro but with the Android OS. There's no word on exactly what specs the device is going to be packing, but if they're anything like the Venue Pro's 4.1-inch AMOLED screen, 1GHZ processor, and 5 megapixel camera, I'm sure we won't be let down.
When it comes to Android form factors, the portrait slider is basically unheard of (save for the Motorola Spice headed for Brazil), so that alone could drum up quite a bit of interest in the Android Venue Pro. Let's just hope that by the time Dell does release the device, they've learned their lesson and will include a version of the OS higher than 1.5 or 1.6. Would any of you consider picking up a portrait sliding Android, or are you all landscape, all the time?
