Well this is an interesting turn of events. Just 10 days after Ari Jaaksi resigned from Nokia's MeeGo team, we learn that he's been hired at Palm. Jaaksi will become Palm's new Senior VP, with his tenure at the company beginning next month. If you'll remember, Nokia recently hired Peter Skillman (former VP of design at Palm) as their VP of MeeGo user experience and services. In addition to playing the exec swap game, Palm is also bringing on a VP from Samsung.
It's kind of strange how this has all worked out, but after the all of the exec departures from both Palm and Nokia, it's good to see the two companies bringing some talent back on. It'll be interesting to see what both Jaaksi and Skillman bring to their respective companies. Perhaps some MeeGo touches will appear in webOS and vice versa? Both Palm and Nokia have major product releases coming up (webOS 2.0, MeeGo), so hopefully both new arrivals can help make the upcoming launches better.
