The Palm Pre 2 has been making the rounds over in France lately, but there's been nary a mention of the device here in the U.S. of A. That's changing today thanks to a leaked image from Verizon's internal VZLearn portal. As you can see up above, the Pre 2 is mentioned a couple of times, including a line that seems to be urging the reader to find out "what's new with Palm WebOS and key features of the Palm Pre 2." Sure, we may not have any sort of pricing or release information, but at least we know that the new flat-screened Pre 2 is on its way.
Motorola's DROID 2 Global also has made its presence known once again, appearing in the very same VZLearn training system as the Pre 2. Unfortunately, Verizon's system is just as helpful here was it was with the Pre 2. There's no information on just when the globetrotting DROID will finally unpack its bags and put up its feet at Verizon. The fact that it's in Big Red's systems, though, bodes well for a release in the near future.
We've heard rumors in the past claiming that the Pre 2 would be hitting Verizon in October and, while I'm not so sure that we'll be seeing it this month, I wouldn't be surprised if it arrived some time before 2010 is over. After all, the Pre Plus (which is getting pretty long in the tooth) has an end-of-life date of October 21st, giving Palm and Verizon over two months to get the Pre 2 onto the carrier's shelves. The DROID 2 Global hasn't had any release info rumors just yet, but it did pose for a couple of photos in the wild. It even showed up on Motorola's site recently, although that appearance was short-lived. So, readers, when do you think we'll be seeing these two hot, new devices?
