The potential BlackBerry banning saga continues today as India has given Research In Motion two more months to come up with an adequate email monitoring solution.  Almost two weeks ago, India rejected one of RIM's new encryption methods due to the fact that the country was unable to access BBM chats.  An anonymous official has now said that India's government has given RIM two more months to go back to the drawing board and come up with a better answer to the country's security needs.

After watching all of this BlackBerry security situation unfold so far, I'm surprised that RIM and India haven't been able to reach a solution that they can both agree on.  After all, RIM was able to make the United Arab Emirates happy, so you would imagine that they would be able to do the same with India.  Still, India is a large market and, since RIM has already met the needs of other countries, I'm sure that they'll be able to do it again.  The only question is, how long will it take them?
