September has come and gone, and the official update for the Samsung Vibrant that is supposed to fix the handset's GPS issues is nowhere to be found (unless you snagged it from Samsung Kies against T-Mobile's wishes). Thankfully, Samsung has chimed in to update us all on the Vibrant upgrade situation, saying that they will have "more information to share next week." Sorry to disappoint you, Vibrant owners, but we still don't know when we can expect the update to actually hit. If T-Mo and Samsung don't send it out soon, though, I have a feeling that they're going to have some upset, GPS-less customers to deal with. You can check out the full statement from Samsung down below.
T-Mobile and Samsung are hearing your questions regarding timing for the Vibrant software upgrade. We are continuing to work diligently to provide you with improvements in an effort to provide you with a high quality experience. We plan to have more information to share next week regarding timing on when these updates will be delivered to customers over-the-air. Thank you for your patience.
I'm pretty surprised that it's taken Samsung and T-Mobile this long to push out an update for the Vibrant's GPS issues considering how big this problem is. It seems that a lot of you have been having been dealing with a busted GPS every since the Vibrant came out, so hopefully an update is pushed out next week or shortly thereafter. How many of you have stuck with the Vibrant through all of the GPS bugs? Did any of you return the device because of the problems?
