This week, an unbelievable item caught my eye. Is seems Portable Electronics Ltd. has done the unthinkable — it compiled specs from every Android device on the market, both here in the U.S. and elsewhere. The result? A monster of a spreadsheet detailing the techy bits, all from the smokin’ hot Android platform.
This is just a snippet. To see the whole Google document, click here.
PEL has been keeping track of this since 2009. It seems as information becomes available, it adds official details as well as some of the color-coded rumored items to its publicly available Google Doc/Spreadsheet. The repository breaks out sections for “Android mobile phones 2010,” “Android mobile phones 2009,” “Netbooks/ebooks,” “PMP/MIDs,” “Misc,” “TV” and “Car.” (What, no “vacuum” listing?)
If you were unaware that such a huge resource of info existed, but wanted a way to keep the Android crop straight, I hope this helps the cause. I found it to be kind of overkill, but that’s just me — I’m not really a spreadsheet person. My eyes glaze over at this specgasm of geekery just for the sheer magnitude of it. There are deets on more than 60 devices in the 2010 phone section alone.
As such, I haven’t gone through all this with a fine-toothed comb, but if you want to give it a shot — well, I’ve got mad respect for ya. If you see any that are missing, be sure to drop us a comment and let us know below.
