Between the comments on two of our posts and general internet chatter, it appears as if something is wrong with the DROID 2's signal strength indicator. I've been working with two DROID 2 devices this week, and while one has worked perfectly fine, the other device is constantly fluctuating. Fortunately, it appears to be a software thing. In one of my tests, the non-affected DROID 2 reported -80 dBm and four bars of service, while the affected DROID 2 reported -79 dBm and one bar of service. Thankfully, I've experienced no dropped calls just yet, but the fluctuations are frustrating when you're trying to gauge signal strength.
