Verizon's DROID has had the update to Android 2.2 for a couple of weeks now, but owners have been waiting for a second update that will allow them to install Flash 10.1 on their devices. It turns out that DROID users won't have to wait much longer, as the folks over at Droid Life have been sent a photo of a Verizon screen stating that the FRG22D update will start rolling out tomorrow, August 24th. The FRG22D build brings the ability to download Flash 10.1 from the Android Market as well as other enhancements, such as improved security. Verizon has posted the document you see below to its support page, informing customers of what the FRG22D update includes.
We heard in the past that the DROID's second Android 2.2 update to enable Flash would be coming shortly after August 18th, and it looks like those rumors were true. The DROID was one of the first devices to get the update to Android 2.2, and it looks like it'll be one of the first to run Flash, as well. August 24th is only a little over six hours away, so it won't be long until the update should begin rolling out. So, who's going to be hitting up some Flash sites and games tomorrow?
