Hot on the heels of the leaked Verizon catalog last week that showed the DROID 2, the gang at DroidForums were able to get their hands on an internal screenshot of "End of Life Devices," and the original Motorola DROID and Devour are on it. That being said, it doesn't mean they're phasing out immediately, but both Android devices have "limited or no remaining shipments from the vendor," meaning that when they sell out, they're done. While it doesn't come as a huge surprise to me (the DROID has been out for a while, after all), I am a bit taken aback that they didn't wait for the DROID 2 to come out.
With the DROID and Devour on the way out, it leaves the DROID X, Incredible, and LG Ally - the latter of which has a full QWERTY keyboard. I don't expect it to be too much longer before the DROID 2 hits shelves, but for those hardcore text and e-mail users out there, does the potential lack of a high-end QWERTY-equipped Android device (even if it is temporary) make you want to look elsewhere?
