Given today's announcement of the Samsung Epic 4G - Sprint's second WiMAX device, if you're counting - it's understandable that they want to broaden the range of 4G connectivity.  To that end, the nation's third largest wireless carrier has flipped the 4G switch in Richmond, St. Louis, and Salt Lake City.  Effective immediately, residents with capable equipment can access WiMAX.  In addition to today's announcement, Sprint is on the record stating their desire to launch 4G in Boston, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Pittsburg, San Francisco, Washington, DC, and other markets by the end of 2010.  

Living in a 4G market myself, I can say that speeds are reasonably fast.  Sure, there's the continuous brawl between T-Mobile's HSPA+ and Sprint's WiMAX speeds, but speed arguments aside, I've been pleased thus far.  Richmond, St. Louis, and Salt Lake City - enjoy the connectivity!  Give us a shout and let us know what you think, okay?
