Tomorrow is the Verizon, Motorola, and Google event where they will be unveiling the "next generation of DROID" and all of this wild speculation about the DROID X and Droid 2 will finally come to an end. Until then, we've got another rumor for you. Boy Genius Report has pointed out that at the end of the recently released DROID X teaser, the date "07.2010" is shown, but when the date is warped it appears to say "7.2.2010," leading to speculation that the device will launch on July 2nd. It's unclear whether this is just a part of the visual effect or if the date is intentional, but we'll all find out soon enough. Until then, check out the teaser below and tell us what you think!
The whole idea seems kind of crazy, but when you consider all of the other little details buried in the commercial, it all becomes slightly less crazy. We've already seen several specs of the device as well as a Twitter account, so you never know. A July 2nd launch doesn't seem out of the question, especially when you consider that the event is tomorrow. I'm sure Verizon wouldn't want to wait too long to release the DROID X after the announcement. Either way, PhoneDog won't keep you waiting for coverage of the new devices because we'll be at the announcement tomorrow, bringing you all of the DROID goodness!
