The DROID X has been making its rounds on the blogosphere for a few months now with various names. And until recently we were under the impression it would be officially announced on the 23rd of June. You probably saw Aaron's post yesterday commenting on Verizon's decision to "jump the gun" and put up a teaser page before the official announcement. You may have also have noticed (if you went to the site) that the DROID X was supposedly sporting a 720p screen. Yeah, that's right, a 720p screen! But don't get too excited, as IntoMobile (via AppleInsider) noticed the same thing and found that Verizon quickly changed the page to reflect the accurate specs which are much more believable. The site should have said that the device is capable of 720p capture, not that it has a 720p screen. Looks like we'll have to chock it up to human error, but man it would have been cool to watch HD video on that massive screen. Oh well. Did anyone else notice that the 23rd is the day before another company launches their flagship device? Phone war anyone?
